Come and join us for a weekend of Greek Folk dancing and live music and feel like you are in Greece. Dancing will be performed by the youth of St. Demetrios and our own award winning Greek Folk dancers. Come up on stage after their performances and learn how to dance the Greek way! Live music will also be performed by the wonderful local Greek band.  What more could you ask for? authentic Greek food, dancing and music!

St. Demetrios Greek Folk Dance Group

St. Demetrios is proud of our Greek Folk Dance program. We have over 120 dancers and singers from 4 years old to adult. We hope that this web site will encourage communication between the various people, groups, and communities that share a passion for the Greek culture.

Greek Folk Dancing is integral to our Greek culture. Our program aims to teach the Greek folk traditions of dance, music, and song while maintaining the values of the Greek Orthodox faith.

Besides performing at many community events, the St. Demetrios Greek Dancers attend the annual Folk Dance Festival. Since the FDF is a dance competition, we try to put our best foot forward by researching and practicing new suites of dances from various parts of Greece in costumes from the same region.
